Primary Location: United States (US) - Georgia - Augusta Function: Product Engineering (CA) Title: Product Design Engineer - 123354 Onsite/Remote: Onsite Position Your Responsibilities Join a team that is shaping the future of Compact Utility Tractors at John Deere! As a Product Design Engineer within the Southeast Engineering Center located in Augusta, GA , you will play a key role in developing next-generation products that deliver value to customers around the world. This position offers the opportunity to lead design initiatives, influence product strategy, and work closely with cross-functional teams from concept through production. In addition you will: Lead the strategy, design, and integration of critical vehicle systems and components for Compact Utility Tractors Drive product development through the Product Delivery Process (PDP), ensuring quality, performance, cost, and timing objectives are achieved Take a hands-on approach for research and development collaborating with Product Lab Test, Field Test, & Prototype Shop Influence future product direction through innovation, continuous improvement, and customer-focused engineering solutions Lead conversations with suppliers, manufacturing, quality, marketing and customer support teams to improve product performance and reliability VISA Sponsorship is NOT available for this position What Skills You Need 3+ years of experience in product design, development, or engineering Experience executing Product Delivery Process (PDP) and/or Continuous Improvement (CI) methodologies Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Experience using Creo for 3D modeling and design Working knowledge of Windchill and SAP Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across organizations What Makes You Stand Out Compact Utility Tractor, agricultural equipment, or off-road vehicle design experience Systems engineering experience, including requirements development and integration Experience supporting prototype builds, product launches, or manufacturing operations Knowledge of reliability, durability, validation, and quality processes Hands-on experience operating and maintaining agricultural or off-road equipment Demonstrated leadership in driving technical solutions and product improvements Education Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following: Bachelor of Science or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or Agricultural Engineering What You'll Get At John Deere, you are empowered to create a career that will take you to where you want to go while working in an inclusive team environment.
