As a Production Field Technician, you create chemistry by... Assisting with all aspects of seed production, from soil preparation through harvest. Managing critical agricultural activities, including loading and unloading stock seed, roots and bulbs, identifying and removing pollinator plants or rows, and sorting and boxing onion bulbs to ensure quality, traceability, and timely delivery. Supervising seasonal workers and rogueing crews as needed to support field operations. Operating tractors, harvesting equipment, and other machinery in accordance with operational requirements and safety regulations. Maintaining and repairing production equipment and materials to support efficient field operations. Executing crop protection applications, including calculating and applying appropriate treatment rates for disease control. Participating in agronomic and cultural practices such as irrigation management and manual weed control. If you... Have a high school diploma and at least two years of farming, seed production, or agricultural operations experience. Bring experience cultivating vegetable crops. Possess or can obtain and maintain a pesticide applicator license in compliance with applicable regulations. Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate, troubleshoot, and maintain agricultural equipment. Leverage effective verbal and written communication skills along with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Have the ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification.
