Independence Veterinary Clinic is looking for an experienced Professional Groomer to join our healthcare team. No weekend hours! Salary: Commission Schedule: Monday - Friday. No weekend hours! Qualifications: 2+ years of grooming experience Proficiency in grooming all dog breeds Strong skillset in fluff drying techniques A passion for providing top-notch care and attention to all animals What You'll Do Provide full-service grooming for dogs and cats: bathing, haircuts, de-shedding, nail trims, ear cleaning, sanitary trims, and more Check each pet's coat and skin before grooming, flagging any concerns to our veterinary team Use low-stress handling techniques to keep pets calm, safe, and comfortable Watch for signs of stress, overheating, or illness throughout each appointment Keep detailed grooming notes and communicate clearly with clients and staff Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked grooming space What You'll Bring Professional grooming experience with a variety of dog breeds (cat grooming experience a plus!)
