Department: Psychology Location: Belknap Campus Time Type: Full time Worker Type: Regular Term (Fixed Term) Job Req ID: R109499 Position Description: The Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at the University of Louisville invites applications for a Professor Term (Open Rank) and Director of the Noble H. Kelley Psychological Services Center (PSC). The start date is June 1, 2027. The PSC is a training clinic located on campus and operated by the university’s APA-accredited Ph.D. program in Clinical Psychological Science. Clinical services are provided by Ph.D. students supervised by licensed psychologists in Kentucky with the Health Service Provider (HSP) designation. The PSC operates as a fully functioning psychological clinic, providing services for children, adolescents, and adults to the university and the larger metropolitan community on a sliding scale basis. Services include individual, family, group, and couples psychotherapy as well as psychological assessments. More information about the PSC can be found on the website: https://artsandsciences.louisville.edu/academics-programs/academic-departments/psychological-and-brain-sciences/services/psychological-services-center The Director position is a full-time, 12-month clinical Term faculty position and includes administrative (60%) and supervision and teaching (40%) responsibilities. The Director works collaboratively with program faculty, staff, and the department chair in overseeing clinic operations and has an essential role in training graduate students. The Director would provide clinical supervision in empirically supported interventions and assessments as well as teach graduate courses to Ph.D. students in the program. Examples of courses include Professional and Ethical Issues in Clinical Psychology, Clinical Psychopathology, History of Modern Psychology, and Assessment. The Director would also be responsible for: maintaining compliance with ethical, legal, licensing, insurance, and accreditation regulations as well as maintain up to date clinical knowledge; coordinating faculty supervisors and training and supervising clinic staff; coordinating the program Colloquium series; overseeing the budget and engaging in fiscal planning; maintaining and developing connections with referral sources; leading outreach activities; coordinating external practicum placements for students; assisting with PSC clinical team placements for students; assisting with coordination of student evaluations and clinical competencies; and assisting with accreditation reporting requirements. Required Qualifications: Ph.D. from an APA-accredited and/or PCSAS-accredited program in Clinical Psychology, Clinical Psychological Science, or Clinical Science or related field APA-accredited internship in Clinical Psychology Must be license eligible in Kentucky at time of hire, licensed by Kentucky as soon as possible or within 6 months of hire date with the Health Service Provider (HSP) designation, and must maintain an active license and HSP status. Evidence of high-quality teaching, ideally at the graduate level or demonstration of potential in this area. Evidence of administrative or similar leadership experience or demonstration of potential in this area.
