We are currently seeking for a Project Controller to work in a team delivering project management and construction management in an international environment. You will join a dynamic Benelux team of 160 professionals based in The Hague, forming part of AECOM’s global network of over 50,000 experts. You will be based in the Hague office or on site depending on client and project needs. The main task of the project controller is to ensure that the project is running within the confines of the main contract and budget limitations, including progress reports to the Project Manager and/or Project Director. Financial savviness is important, it will be expected that you not only manage correct execution of the contract but are also responsible to assure that all aspects of the contract are lived by, delivered and respected in close collaboration with the rest of the project team. You will also work together with the Business line lead, AECOM operations and finance to make sure KPI’s are met and the project remains financially healthy. In addition we expect you to advise the teamasked and unasked, on any developments you see in execution of the contract. Main Responsibilities Financial & Contracts · Provides project control services for the project, particularly financial planning, reporting and compliance. You will, informally act as “internal auditor” for sub contracts and projects to makes sure all is executed as contractually agreed. You are process driven and will be able to translate queries, requirements and developments into new (or amend) project management processes. You will make sure that systems and control measures are in place to manage the project and will report on the delivery of the project to the required stakeholders. As part of the reporting you will be in charge of the monthly reporting submission to the client, change register, risk register and regular cost reporting. · Ensure management of the process of Value Engineering and ensure that the program effect of all Change Orders is identified as required. · Make sure that there is a program in place that covers the process of handover of the completed project(s) to the operator(s), and Client(s) as may be required. This includes but is not limited to, creation of financial statement, project accounting and create cashflow overview. · Conduct risk assessments to avoid any negative exposure. Reporting and Planning · Monitors and provides support in updating the programme and ensures that the Project Director, Client and Contractor(s) are aware of necessary key critical actions/decisions in a timely way. · Review and report to the Project Director, responsible for the monthly progress reports including identifying key critical issues, areas of concern and recommended plans of actions. Updates and includes the change register, risk register and cost reporting into the monthly report. · Compliance with AECOM procedures, Project Management Plan (PMP), Instructions from the Project Director, Procurement register and Client procedures · Participate and support contract meetings: (Senior) Staff Meetings, Commercial meetings and Progress & programme
Requirements · Project and contract management experience · Proven financial and cost reporting experience · Process driven · Minimum 5 years of relevant experience · Analytical skills · Fluency in English (Dutch is a plus) · Project and contract management experience in delivering construction projects · Minimum holds a Bachelor’s degree · Planning experience (Primavera is a plus)
