POSITION SUMMARY: The Finance Project Manager is responsible for managing finance-led projects and cross-functional initiatives that support Advanced Energy’s strategic priorities, operational improvements, and business transformation goals. This role drives successful project execution, stakeholder alignment, risk and issue management, and clear communication across Finance, Accounting, IT, and business partners. The position supports Finance PMO governance, portfolio visibility, and continuous improvement while ensuring projects are delivered with strong planning discipline, accountability, and measurable outcomes. RESPONSIBILITIES: Supports Finance leaders, project sponsors, functional SMEs, and cross-functional partners in day-to-day project execution activities. Develops and maintains project plans, milestones, dependencies, action items, and decision logs. Coordinates project intake, prioritization, governance routines, and portfolio reporting in alignment with Finance PMO standards. Prepares project status updates, leadership summaries, dashboards, and meeting materials, including schedule, scope, risk, issue, and dependency updates. Tracks and follows up with assigned team members on open actions, risks, issues, dependencies, and decisions. Maintains project documentation and shared repositories, ensuring appropriate version control, organization, and access governance. Supports change management activities, including stakeholder communications, training coordination, readiness tracking, and adoption follow-up. Partners with Finance SMEs to document business requirements, current- and future-state processes, key decisions, and project handoffs. Coordinates meetings across functions and time zones; captures and distributes notes, decisions, and action items. Acts as a communication bridge between Finance, Accounting, IT, business stakeholders, and external partners as needed. Identifies opportunities to improve Finance PMO processes, templates, reporting, and project delivery practices. WORK ENVIRONMENT: AE Headquarters — Downtown Denver, Colorado. Standard business hours, Monday through Friday, with occasional flexibility needed to support global teams and cross-functional meetings. Advanced Energy is a Return-to-Office corporation. QUALIFICATIONS : Exceptional organizational, time management, and attention-to-detail skills Strong follow-up skills Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships across all levels of an organization Strong written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level communication Ability to gather and analyze data to identify improvements and develop solutions Ability to manage risk and apply contingency planning Ability to influence without authority Execution discipline and operational rigor Strong stakeholder management skills Team leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills Motivation to continue developing project management skills and emerging technologies (e.g., AI) EXPERIENCE: 3 - 5 years managing projects, programs, or cross-functional initiatives that deliver business process, operational, or system-enabled change Experience supporting Finance, Accounting, Operations, or business transformation initiatives Experience developing project plans, tracking milestones, managing action items, and coordinating dependencies Experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders across multiple levels of the organization Experience using project management and collaboration tools such as Smartsheet, Microsoft Office, Teams, SharePoint, Jira or similar platforms Experience supporting vendor coordination or third-party partner activities (preferred) Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or global business environments (preferred) Experience supporting process improvement, governance, reporting, or project delivery efficiency initiatives Experience maintaining project documentation and supporting compliance with organizational standards EDUCATION: BA/BS degree in Project Management, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, or equivalent Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, preferred Agile, Scrum, or related project management certification, preferred COMPENSATION: As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. The range of starting pay for this role is $75,000 to $105,000 per year.
