Property Inspector

Vision Government Solutions is looking for Maine-based Property Inspectors (aka: Data Collectors) to join our Appraisal Services team. Vision performs property revaluation and appraisal services on behalf of municipalities throughout the U.S. The Property Inspector is a highly visible member of the appraisal team, responsible for inspecting, verifying, and recording details of commercial and residential properties required for property valuation. This is a full-time position, with potential for long-term career growth for successful candidates. Responsibilities Accurately gather and record specific data points relevant for property valuation Serve as public-facing representative of the appraisal team, always maintaining professional communication and appearance Submit regular reports to track progress against assigned work Measure and inspect interior and exterior of property Qualifications Reliable transportation to/from assigned work location Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Bending, stretching, and kneeling may be required during property inspections Ability to climb stairs and carry 5-10 lbs of equipment Comfort working outdoors for extended periods of time, in all seasons/weather Effective verbal communication; the ability to put at ease members of the public who ask questions regarding a property visit Ability to work flexible hours during 40-hour work week Valid driver’s license Real estate training a plus, but not required Mail carrier or delivery experience a plus!
