About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Real Estate Associate to join our dynamic legal team in our Mount Kisco, New York and New York City offices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial and residential real estate transactions, with expertise in New York real estate law and regulations. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, financing, leasing, and development projects. Key Responsibilities: Draft, review, and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, commercial leases, loan documents, and other real estate transaction documents Conduct and oversee due diligence reviews, including title examination, survey review, and zoning analysis Advise clients on real estate financing transactions, including mortgage loans, mezzanine financing, and construction lending Handle closings for acquisitions, dispositions, and financing transactions Provide legal counsel on commercial landlord-tenant matters, including lease negotiations, renewals, and disputes Advise on land use, zoning, and regulatory compliance matters specific to New York City and State Manage relationships with clients, lenders, title companies, and other stakeholders Stay current on changes to New York real estate law, regulations, and market trends Qualifications: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school Active membership in good standing with the New York State Bar Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in real estate law, preferably with a law firm or in-house legal department Strong knowledge of New York real estate law, including the Real Property Law, Lien Law, and NYC Administrative Code Experience with commercial and residential transactions in the New York metropolitan area Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously and meet tight deadlines Strong attention to detail and analytical skills Preferred Qualifications: Experience with co-op and condominium transactions Familiarity with 1031 exchanges and tax-deferred transactions Experience w/ commercial leases and NNN properties Familiarity with estate sales Exposure/Interest in Trusts and Estate Law a plus What We Offer: Competitive salary commensurate with experience Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching Paid time off and holidays Professional development and continuing legal education opportunities Estimated Annual Salary: $130,000-$160,000 Opportunity for quarterly and/or annual bonuses
