Red Seal Automotive Service Technician – Jim Pattison Subaru Northshore

The Jim Pattison Auto Group is looking for a Certified Red Seal Automotive Technician to join our team at Jim Pattison Subaru Northshore. As a Red Seal Technician, you’ll work on a variety of Subaru vehicles, from routine maintenance and inspections to more complex mechanical and electrical repairs. You’ll have access to modern diagnostic equipment, manufacturer procedures, and a knowledgeable Service Team to support you in your work. A Day In Life • Diagnose and repair Subaru vehicles using manufacturer procedures and dealership standards. • Perform scheduled maintenance, inspections, and a wide range of mechanical and electrical repairs. • Identify vehicle concerns, determine appropriate repair solutions, and complete work efficiently and accurately. • Use diagnostic equipment and technical resources to troubleshoot complex issues. • Communicate repair findings and recommendations with Service Advisors and the rest of the Service Team. • Complete road tests, quality-control inspections, and pre-delivery inspections when required. • Coordinate with the Parts Department to obtain required components and manage warranty parts appropriately. • Support fellow technicians and contribute to a positive, team-oriented shop. • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. • Follow all workplace safety requirements, dealership policies, and Subaru standards. What We’re Looking For • Red Seal Automotive Technician certification required, or currently in the process of challenging the Red Seal exam. • Previous experience working as an automotive technician, preferably in a dealership environment. • Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and repair skills. • Valid BC Driver’s Licence with a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract. • Ability to confidently operate both manual and automatic transmission vehicles. • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship. • Ability to work efficiently while managing multiple priorities. • Strong communication skills and a professional, team-focused attitude. • A willingness to continue learning and stay current with evolving automotive technology.
