Job description

ABOUT ALLJOINED Alljoined is creating a future where humans are fully understood and augmented by technology. Our work solves the communication bottleneck between humans and computers by decoding thoughts from the brain, entirely non-invasively. We apply deep learning research to large scale EEG datasets to decode multimedia input, eventually moving to internal thought. We are state-of-the art in capabilities and are fully vertically integrated. Our goal is to develop a general consumer interface to completely transform how we can live our lives. We are actively growing our world-class team of researchers to build the next interface to improve individual lives as well as the well-being of society as a whole. ABOUT THE ROLE As a Research Technician, you will own the neural data collection infrastructure that makes our research possible. You'll be the primary point of contact for study participants, running day-to-day EEG experiments with precision and care while ensuring our datasets meet the quality standards required for cutting-edge deep learning research. You will work hands-on with EEG hardware and experimental workflows, sitting at the intersection of human interaction and high-throughput data collection - directly enabling the neural decoding breakthroughs our team is pursuing. YOU MAY BE A GOOD FIT IF YOU: - Have 1–2+ years of hands-on experience operating EEG hardware in a research or clinical setting. - Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Neuroscience, Psychology, Cognitive Science, or a related field. - Are meticulous about data quality and comfortable owning daily and weekly data collection throughput targets. - Have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to keep participants calm, focused, and engaged throughout experimental sessions. - Are experienced logging, tracking, and reporting technical events — including hardware faults and environmental interference — that affect data integrity. - Can troubleshoot workflow bottlenecks independently and implement corrective actions quickly, even under time pressure. - Thrive working across a multidisciplinary team of software engineers, neuroscientists, and AI researchers. STRONG CANDIDATES MAY HAVE: - Experience in a fast-paced startup or high-throughput research lab where adaptability and wearing multiple hats was the norm. - Familiarity with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and standards for participant-facing research. - Experience administering neuropsychological assessments or cognitive testing protocols in research or clinical environments. - Played an active role in building and executing end-to-end participant recruitment and scheduling pipelines. - Exposure to EEG signal quality optimization - including electrode placement, impedance management, and artifact reduction strategies. BENEFITS - Options for housing support - Visa sponsorship - 3% 401k matching - Health insurance
