Job Description We are looking for a friendly and organized Retail Shop Assistant to join our team in Cork, Ireland. In this customer-focused role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional service to our customers while maintaining a well-organized and welcoming shopping environment. You will work collaboratively with your team to ensure smooth daily operations and contribute to a positive customer experience. Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products and making purchasing decisions Process customer transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system Handle cash, card payments, and other payment methods with accuracy and integrity Stock shelves and displays with merchandise, ensuring products are organized and clearly priced Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and visual appeal throughout your shift Develop and demonstrate product knowledge to answer customer questions and provide recommendations Support team members in achieving store goals and maintaining a positive work environment Monitor inventory levels and report stock shortages to management Follow company policies and procedures, including health and safety guidelines Assist with store opening and closing procedures as assigned Qualifications Proven customer service experience in a retail or similar environment Experience handling cash and operating point-of-sale systems Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment Excellent time management and organizational skills Physical ability to lift, carry, and stock merchandise regularly Reliability, punctuality, and a professional attitude Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed Preferred: Previous retail experience in a similar store setting Preferred: Familiarity with inventory management systems Preferred: Product knowledge relevant to the retail category Additional Information About Aramark Aramark Ireland is a leader in food, facilities, and workplace services, supporting clients across healthcare, education, business, and the public sector.
