A technically skilled and customer-focused Sales Engineer to support an aerospace product line, with a specialized focus on ball screw, motion control, and electro-mechanical actuation. This role bridges engineering expertise and commercial strategy, working closely with customers to understand application requirements, develop tailored solutions, and drive revenue growth in the aerospace sector.
Requirements
Major Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary technical liaison for customers requiring ball screw and motion control solutions in aerospace applications
Collaborate with customers, design engineers, and procurement teams to define requirements and recommend optimized products
Prepare and deliver technical presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations
Support the full sales cycle, from initial inquiry through quotation, negotiation, and post-sale support
Analyze customer specifications, drawings, and performance requirements to ensure feasibility and alignment with product capabilities
Work closely with internal engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure solutions meet aerospace standards and certifications
Provide guidance on product customization, including load capacity, precision, materials, and environmental considerations
Track market trends, competitor activity, and emerging aerospace technologies to identify new business opportunities
Maintain accurate records in CRM systems, including forecasts, pipeline activity, and customer interactions
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field
3+ years of experience in a sales engineering or applications engineering role, preferably within aerospace or precision motion components
Strong knowledge of ball screw systems, linear motion, and mechanical power transmission
Familiarity with aerospace standards (e.g., AS9100) and industry requirements
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to travel as needed to support customers and industry events

Operational Details / Work Environment
Work occurs at company facilities and may include customer and supplier sites.
Role includes both office and laboratory-based tasks.
Travel may be required.
Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds on occasion.
