The Compact Hydro department in Ravensburg serves as the global competence center for environmentally friendly, standardized turbine technologies with outputs of up to approximately 40 MW per turbine-generator unit. From this location, we support customers worldwide. Due to a retirement, we are looking for a committed Sales Manager with a strong affinity for the South American market. Your Responsibilities: You will be responsible for the development and acquisition of new hydropower plants and rehabilitation projects for the sustainable generation and storage of energy through hydropower systems with turbine capacities of up to approximately 40 MW, typically on a Water-to-Wire basis. You will coordinate an interdisciplinary tender team consisting of technical, commercial, and legal experts, from the early project phase through bid preparation and contract negotiations to the handover to project execution. You will develop and implement sales strategies, including alternative technical concepts, supply chain solutions, and partnerships. You will take the lead responsibility for the technical solution, cost calculation, and preparation of competitive proposals in compliance with customer specifications as well as ANDRITZ guidelines and standards. You will identify technical and commercial risks together with the relevant departments and develop suitable mitigation measures to be implemented during project execution. You will manage communication externally with customers, consultants, and partner companies, and internally with specialist departments and senior management. Your Profile: University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable field. Several years of experience in sales are desirable. Strong networking skills and enjoyment in building relationships internally and externally. Understanding of technically complex topics as well as commercial and contractual matters. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Fluent Spanish and English language skills; German and additional foreign language skills are advantageous. Enthusiasm for working with people and for challenging international projects. Strong commitment, empathy, goal orientation, and team spirit. Flexibility and willingness to travel internationally.
