Line of Service Advisory Industry/Sector Banking and Capital Markets Specialism Fraud, Investigations & Regulatory Enforcement (FIRE) Management Level Senior Associate Job Description & Summary Senior Financial Crime Technology & AML Advisory Associate Meet your future team Join our Forensic Services practice, where Financial Crime, AML, data and technology specialists work together to help clients prevent, detect and respond to regulatory, compliance and financial crime risks. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across PwC and support leading financial services organisations on complex transformation and optimisation initiatives. What your role will look like As a Senior Associate, you will help financial institutions strengthen their Financial Crime frameworks by combining regulatory knowledge, data analytics and technology expertise. Your work will focus on improving the effectiveness of AML and sanctions controls, supporting clients in managing regulatory expectations, operational efficiency and evolving financial crime risks. Lead selected workstreams focused on the assessment, implementation and optimisation of AML Transaction Monitoring solutions, including scenario design, customer segmentation, threshold tuning and effectiveness testing; Evaluate and enhance sanctions screening frameworks, helping clients improve detection capabilities while maintaining operational efficiency; Analyse end-to-end data flows, data lineage and data quality across AML and Compliance systems to identify control gaps and improvement opportunities; Design insightful dashboards, visualisations and metrics that support decision-making and provide transparency over Financial Crime risks and performance; Translate regulatory requirements into practical recommendations covering AML/CTF, sanctions, fraud and compliance operating models, policies and controls; Facilitate workshops and stakeholder discussions, gathering requirements and helping clients move from analysis to implementation; Coach junior team members, review their work and contribute to delivering high-quality outcomes across multiple client engagements. Your growth and opportunities Develop expertise at the intersection of Financial Crime, data and technology while working across Transaction Monitoring, sanctions screening and regulatory transformation programmes. Progressively expand your responsibility for client interactions, workstream leadership and mentoring activities. The skills you bring Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance or a related discipline. 2–3 years of experience in Financial Crime, AML technology, Compliance technology, consulting or the financial services industry. Working knowledge of AML/CTF and sanctions regulatory frameworks, with experience using Financial Crime technologies such as Transaction Monitoring, Sanctions Screening, Customer Risk Rating or KYC platforms. Python and SQL: Proficient / Independent use. Power BI, Tableau and MS Excel: Proficient / Independent use. English: C1–C2 professional proficiency. French or German: C1–C2 Ways of working You analyse complex information, identify patterns in data and translate insights into practical business recommendations. You apply independent judgement to complex situations, challenge assumptions constructively and help solve problems in a structured way. Additional skills that would support your success Experience with Financial Crime technology platforms such as NICE Actimize, Oracle FCCM, Fenergo, Firco, SafeWatch, Eastnets or similar solutions. Professional certifications such as CAMS, CGSS, ICA, CFE or relevant technology certifications. Familiarity with Digital Forensics and forensic investigation tools such as Nuix or Relativity.
