Regent

Job description

Company Overview Regent is a global private equity firm focused on acquiring businesses and realizing exponential growth through operational improvements and strategic capital deployment. Since its inception, Regent has successfully acquired businesses from leading Fortune 500 and large-cap companies. Our investments span around the globe and operate in a wide array of industry verticals including retail, eCommerce, media, and manufacturing. Regent specializes in navigating distressed and complex situations — carve-outs, corporate divestitures, and turnaround opportunities — and driving value through hands-on operational involvement post-close. Position Overview We are seeking a Senior Associate to support Regent across the full investment lifecycle — from deal evaluation through M&A execution and post-close portfolio company operations. This is a full-stack role for an investment professional who is equally comfortable evaluating new opportunities, running diligence and deal processes, and then rolling up their sleeves to support portfolio company performance post-close. The ideal candidate brings buy-side private equity or investment banking experience and is looking for a role that spans both the transactional and operating sides of the business, rather than one focused purely on deal execution or purely on portfolio operations. This role works in close partnership with firm leadership and the Chairman. This is a full-time role, based 5 days a week in our Beverly Hills office. Responsibilities: Evaluate new investment opportunities, including market research, financial modeling, and preliminary valuation analysis Manage due diligence workstreams (financial, operational, legal, commercial) alongside internal teams and outside advisors Support deal structuring, negotiation prep, and closing processes for new acquisitions and bolt-ons Prepare investment committee materials and present findings to the Chairman and senior leadership Partner with portfolio company management teams to monitor financial and operational performance post-close Conduct diagnostics into operations, cash flow, and working capital to identify risks and improvement opportunities Drive cross-functional initiatives with clear KPIs, timelines, and reporting mechanisms Support integration efforts for newly acquired businesses, ensuring alignment with Regent's operating model Act as a connective point between Regent's leadership, deal counterparties, and portfolio company management Manage multiple parallel workstreams across deal and portfolio priorities in a fast-paced, lean environment Requirements: 3-7 years of experience, with buy-side private equity or investment banking experience required Prior experience at a private equity firm (deal team or portfolio operations) or investment bank strongly preferred; must have direct exposure to live transaction execution (diligence, modeling, deal structuring) Strong finance background with demonstrated financial modeling and valuation skills Ability to move fluidly between transactional analysis and operational problem-solving Strong analytical, financial modeling, and diligence skills Executive-level communication and stakeholder management Comfortable working in fast-paced, entrepreneurial, high-ownership environments with minimal hand-holding Willingness and ability to work in-office five days a week in Beverly Hills Compensation: $150,000-$200,000 base salary (range dependent on experience) + bonus This position will be based at Regent's headquarters in Beverly Hills, California. Please include salary expectations with your resume.
