Senior BIM Modeller

Role description: This role will be responsible: • To operate within a single discipline with little supervision. • To support model delivery and compliance with project and company standards and meets clients Exchange Information Requirements (EIR). • To be able to use 3 or more modelling software packages with speciality in one package. • May lead a small team in BIM modelling and drawing production for single discipline under the supervision of BIM Coordinator. • To create a sense of shared ownership and accountability balancing this with decisiveness and holding others to account for delivery. • To take ownership for own responsibility, creating clarity and motivating and aligning others. Role accountabilities: • Execute 3D modelling in a CDE (Common Data Environment) with limited supervision Collaborate with other team members to deliver project requirements. • Expand understanding of the business benefits and build working relationships with regional colleagues. • Play a central role in the production of project BIM deliverables including 3D models that are accurate and developed in compliance with the relevant Arcadis project BIM Execution Plan (BEP). • Output BIM models and interface with drafting teams to enable drawings to be produced based on BIM models. • Deliver work that meets client and Arcadis requirements (as set out in the BEP) • Develop BIM models based on inputs from engineers. • Adding data to the model and generate graphical and (alpha) numerical outputs. • Provide modelling guidance to other members of the BIM team. • Contribute to the resolution of modelling issues on projects. • Work with other design disciplines to ensure the integration of the overall design or solution. • Undertake production checking, of work in progress to ensure that it meets design intent. • Successfully complete assigned BIM modelling work within budget and deadlines. • Commit to receiving on the job technical training by performing tasks, which are under the direct supervision of more experienced staff within well-defined limits. • Participate and contribute to knowledge network to support Arcadis knowledge sharing • Contribute to internal CPD by presenting experiences at internal sessions. • Work with a Mentor to develop technical excellence to high standards. • Actively ensure compliance with the BIM Execution Plan. Promote use of BEP to other team members. • Present 3-dimensional representations of the model in suitable formats (e.g visualisations) when requested. • Make optimal use of software capabilities and making suggestions for expanding and development of software tools and/or adjustments of the BIM Model. • Make drafts estimate and analyses that are based on and/or will be transferred to the BIM environment. • Inform and advise involved parties about the use of data and application of output. • Support Arcadis BIM leadership in implementation of Arcadis BIM policy. • Engaging in Continuing Professional Development (CPD). • Performing other duties and responsibilities as required from time to time as directed by your line manager or Arcadis. • Ensuring you are familiar and compliant with Health and Safety regulations and guidelines. Qualifications & Experience: • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Architecture or Equivalent Courses / Technical Certification relating to BIM. • Preferably 4 years of experience working with relevant BIM Softwares on BIM projects. • Job experience in design consulting firm is required. • Proficient in Microsoft Application (word, excel, outlook). • Overseas Experience is advantage (work in other countries or project design outsourcing company). • Communicates effectively both orally and in writing. • Has a systematic and methodological approach. • Can quickly adopt to drawing standards.
