The role will assimilate and understand the implications of new developments, quickly responding appropriately to situations as they evolve. The role will mentor and support team members on project work and customer interactions. Timely authorization to work in the U.S. is required. This position is in Livonia, MI. As a Senior Electrified Powertrain Calibration Engineer, you will:Participate in and/or lead development and validation of electrified powertrain controls for Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) applications, Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles (FCEV), and Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEV)Participate in creation of requirements for controller software to meet overall project goalsCarry out bench, dynamometer, and vehicle-based electrified powertrain developmentAnalyze various data and present to team membersPerform validation and release of controls software into productionPerform hot climate, cold climate, and high-altitude development testing to meet customer objectivesCalibrate all aspects of powertrain function, including core propulsive features, diagnostics and safety, thermal systems, high voltage, and overall vehicle integrationProvide positive technical contributions in a project team environmentSupport various dyno and/or vehicle-based research projectsModify calibration as needed to collect various experimental dataWork hands-on with various electrical systems and componentsRequirements to be considered for the Senior Electrified Powertrain Calibration Engineer:Bachelor of Science in mechanical, automotive, electrical engineering or similar fieldMinimum 4 years of relevant powertrain engineering experience to include hands-on hybrid and/or electric vehicle calibration and development experienceVehicle and dynamometer-based calibration development experience(ETAS INCA) or Accurate Technologies, Inc.
