Senior Executive - Development Merchandising

Key Responsibilities Develop and implement fabric development strategies aligned with business objectives, market trends, and customer requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Design, Production, and Quality Assurance, as well as external suppliers and vendors, to ensure smooth project execution. Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and product differentiation. Lead fabric prototype development in collaboration with Design and Production teams. Collaborate closely with the PD and Raw Material sourcing teams to achieve better outcomes. Oversee sampling processes to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with customer specifications. Implement quality control measures throughout the development process to maintain product integrity and required quality standards. Work closely with Sourcing and Procurement teams to optimize costs without compromising quality or performance. Negotiate pricing and agreements with suppliers and vendors to achieve favorable commercial terms. Qualifications and Experience A bachelor’s degree in business management, Textile Engineering, Merchandising, or a related field. 3–4 years of relevant industry experience, including at least 1 year in Product Development within the fabric manufacturing industry. Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Good verbal and written communication skills in English. Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills. Ability to work with ERP systems. Experience in a fabric manufacturing environment and handling VS/Pink accounts will be an added advantage.
