Senior Executive - Garment Technologist (Based at MAS Fabric – Matrix - Thulhiriya) MAS Matrix is a diversified flat-knit apparel manufacturing facility under MAS Holdings. Matrix houses 1000 Stoll flatbed machines offerings athleisure wear, performance wear, essentials and knit components for global brands such as Nike, Decathlon, Gymshark, Lacoste, Victoria's Secret and Stoko. Changing business dynamics prompted Matrix to explore innovative product solutions that go beyond the traditional realm of sweaters, launching its latest product platform, MVTM, a collection of highly functional, versatile, and fashion-forward designs. We are on the lookout for a dedicated individual to develop patterns whilst following up on the sample development and approval processes in order to ensure products are cut and sewn / Knit to shape in accordance to customer specified standards, whilst transferring relevant details in an accurate and timely manner from the development site to the production units. to understand the customer product need and convert it to the ultimate product which has either requested or improved expectations of the customer on timely manner by working with internal parties such as tech teams, design team & business team while ensuring bulk manufacturability in most cost-effective manner. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Liaise with the Customers / Internal Merchandisers in the event measurement adjustments/ feasibility of the sample construction is required and prepare base pattern / grading for styles / products, using CAD/ CAM to obtain relevant markers whilst forwarding the main material and trim consumption to the merchandising team for customer approval, in order-to-order trims in a timely manner. Develop samples by obtaining required fabric and accessories in consultation with the merchandising department, make required adjustments to patterns based (All proto stages) on customer comments and prepare new samples incorporating the adjustments accordingly (proto, Size-set, pre-production samples etc) whilst sending same to Customers for approval. Work with factory integration / production teams to transfer the product development knowledge into bulk production in an effective manner which will ensure the production performance. (Preparing the bulk Tech pack) Support in the style feeding process within the sample room keeping to customer requirements, quality standards and garment construction methods which need to be followed in order to deliver the best quality samples to customers. Provide required trainings for subordinates to give the required knowledge and skills to performance their duties successfully KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Degree/ Diploma Textile or any relevant discipline 2-3 years of relevant work experience in a similar capacity Good knowledge of all aspects of knitting Technology and Better knowledge on pattern making and pattern making software. (Gerber) Good communication and negotiation skills Problem-solving, analytical and evaluative skills Better knowledge on garment construction, sewing, bonding and consumption calculating.
