Job Description Team Summary Visa Consulting & Analytics (VCA) drives tangible, impactful and financial results for Visa's clients, including card issuers, acquirers, and merchants. Drawing on our expertise in strategy consulting, data analytics, brand management, marketing, operations and macroeconomics, VCA solves the most strategic problems for our clients. The VCA team within Japan provides a comprehensive range of consulting services and solutions to our clients in Japan, that address unique challenges in areas such as strategic growth, profitability, risk management and digital strategy. VCA Managed Services members play a key role in enhancing the partnership with one of Visa Japan’s largest clients by supporting strategic planning and implementation of their most strategic initiatives. This is a newly created role within VCA Japan that goes beyond traditional consulting delivery: the Senior Manager takes on direct program management responsibility and shares growth goals jointly with Visa’s Client Relationship Management (CRM) team, with accountability for the account’s business results. What a Senior Manager , Visa Consulting and Analytics does at Visa: We are currently looking for a Senior Manager to grow a strategic Co-Brand card partnership in Japan, acting as the client’s primary program manager in close partnership with Visa’s Client Relationship Management (CRM) team. The Senior Manager acts as the client’s main point of contact, coordinating closely with CRM, Marketing, Product and other internal stakeholders to align on priorities and shared goals. The Senior Manager independently leads each initiative from proposal to assigns the necessary team members to drive delivery – retaining accountability for ensuring that execution stays on track. The full range of responsibilities is detailed below: Responsibilities Own end-to-end program management for a strategic Co-Brand card partnership, with accountability for the account’s business growth results Share and co-own growth targets with the Client Relationship Management (CRM) team, operating as one integrated team against common goals Independently lead the full lifecycle of client initiatives – from proposal development and negotiation through to execution Lead cross-functional collaboration with Marketing, Product Solutions and Services and other internal stakeholders to shape and align on growth initiatives, including the coordination of internal arrangements across Legal, Finance and Communication to keep initiatives moving smoothly to execution Drive initiatives through to execution, holding both internal and external stakeholders accountable for delivering on commitments and timelines Analyze client business challenges, portfolio performance, and market opportunities using data-driven insights, and partner with internal stakeholders to identify, shape, and propose Consulting and other projects that support the client’s strategic objectives and business growth. Maintain a working, qualitative understanding of account performance and portfolio trends through monitoring of data and reporting, to inform relationship and growth conversations Oversee and manage administrative and program management tasks including documentation, internal reporting, and completion of compliance procedures. This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs. Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager. Qualifications What you will need: Having already accumulated a variety of experience, you will be curious about the payments industry and keen to work alongside an experienced team to quickly gain a deeper understanding. You will be client driven, comfortable managing a project end to end and relishing the opportunity to work closely with clients to influence their future performance. Specific skills and experience you will bring are: Fluent Japanese and at least business level English proficiency Extensive client- or partner-facing experience, with a demonstrated track record of independently owning a relationship end to end – from proposal and contract negotiation through to delivery accountability. This could come from a background in B2B sales, account management, partnership/alliance management, or consulting (8+ years) Deep experience managing complex cross-functional projects, coordinating effectively across teams such as Marketing, Product, Legal, and Finance Strong problem-solving skills and sound business judgment, with the ability to move initiatives forward even with incomplete information Strong team orientation with a collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible style, able to work effectively in a matrixed organization Excellent detail orientation, ensuring the highest level of quality and rigor in proposals, contracts, and client-facing materials Self-motivated, results-oriented individual with a strong drive to push initiatives forward and progress multiple priorities concurrently Flexible mindset to revise plans and scopes while managing clients’ expectations What will also help: Experience in payments, the banking/financial industry. Experience with card partnerships, loyalty programs, or the broader payments industry is a plus, though not required.
