Job description
The Commercial Strategy & Product Operations Manager sits at the critical intersection of Commercial Strategy, Product Operations, and Regional/Local Market Teams across our multi-market ecosystem. In this role, you will be responsible for driving top-line commercial growth, optimizing performance frameworks, and managing key cross-functional stakeholders. While you will not be directly writing PRDs or managing technical engineering sprint backlogs daily, you will act as the crucial bridge between business needs and product capabilities. You will translate local commercial requirements into product roadmap priorities, lead the commercial go-to-market (GTM) execution of product features, and ensure commercial initiatives are fully optimized across all operating markets. Main Responsibilities 1. Commercial Strategy & Performance Management KPI Ownership & Performance Frameworks: Own key commercial metrics (e.g., GMV, revenue, affordability, conversion, vendor/partner growth) across regional markets. Build standardized reporting frameworks, dashboards, and benchmarks to track performance and identify growth levers. Unit Economics & Growth Strategy: Deep dive into profitability, pricing elasticity, promotional efficiency, and commercial mechanics to strike the right balance between volume growth and bottom-line efficiency. Data Analysis: Partner with data teams to translate data insights into actionable improvement initiatives. Maintain reporting wireframes and performance benchmarks across all markets, conducting systematic deep dives to isolate and address performance drop-off points. 2. Stakeholder Management & Initiative Governance Cross-Functional Alignment: Serve as the primary point of contact and alignment bridge between Central Strategy/Product leadership and Local/Regional Commercial Teams. PMO & Execution Governance: Structure and execute complex commercial programs end-to-end. Establish project governance, track milestones, manage operational dependencies, and resolve cross-border/cross-functional blockers. Commercial Enablement & Playbooks: Develop commercial toolkits, ROI calculators, pitch frameworks, and best-practice playbooks to empower local sales, account management, and operations teams. 3. Product Operations & Commercial Bridge Roadmap Prioritization & Requirements Gathering: Gather operational and commercial friction points from local markets. Translate business performance needs into clear, structured product feature requests and advocate for commercial priorities on the product roadmap. Go-to-Market (GTM) & Rollout Execution: Lead the commercial rollout and adoption of new platform, CRM, and vendor features across markets. Sequence deployment schedules, ensure market readiness, and track post-launch adoption velocity and commercial impact. Product-Business Alignment: Act as the "voice of the market" to product managers and the "voice of product" to local commercial leads, ensuring product features deliver measurable business value.1. Commercial Strategy & Performance Management
Minimum 5+ years of experience in Strategic Operations, Commercial Strategy, Program/Project Management, or Strategy Consulting within a tech, marketplace, or e-commerce environment. Commercial & Business Acumen: Strong understanding of commercial levers, marketplace unit economics, promotional dynamics, and top-line growth drivers. Stakeholder Management in Matrix Environments: Proven track record of leading and influencing without direct authority across multi-market, cross-functional, and senior leadership stakeholder layers. Light Product Acumen: Experience working alongside Product & Tech teams—ability to understand feature capabilities, articulate user stories/business requirements, and lead feature rollout GtM strategy without needing to be a dedicated technical PM. Data-Driven & Analytical Rigor: Comfortable leveraging data diagnostics, building reporting wireframes/dashboards, and designing tests (A/B testing or pilots) to diagnose bottlenecks and validate commercial levers. Execution & PMO Discipline: Highly organized self-starter capable of managing parallel timelines, managing risk escalations, and standardizing operational playbooks across international markets. Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to easily translate complex operational/technical topics into clear commercial narratives for leadership.
