Key Responsibilities (but are not exhaustive) Deliver mechanical engineering designs and technical solutions in line with project requirements, industry standards, and client specifications. Prepare and review mechanical engineering calculations, specifications, reports, engineering studies, and design documentation, including conveyors, piping systems, pumps, tanks, and material handling infrastructure. Lead or coordinate small to medium-sized studies and projects, managing scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, and technical deliverables. Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities and interfaces to ensure an integrated and efficient project delivery approach. Support project planning, estimating, resource management, progress monitoring, and overall project execution. Review and approve technical deliverables to ensure compliance with quality, safety, regulatory, and client requirements. Undertake site assignments, field investigations, construction support, commissioning support, operational readiness activities, and technical inspections as required. Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to junior engineers and designers.Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular engagement, technical discussions, workshops, and project reviews. Support business development activities, including opportunity identification, proposal preparation, technical submissions, client presentations, and pursuit support. Identify, manage, and communicate technical risks, opportunities, and project interfaces throughout project delivery. Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes, work practices, and project delivery performance. Qualifications and Experience BSc/B.Eng. degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Registration as a Professional Engineer. Substantial mechanical engineering experience in mining, minerals processing, metals, energy, or other heavy industrial projects. Experience working within an engineering consulting environment, delivering studies, engineering design, and project execution services. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment, including conveyors, piping systems, pumps, tanks, and material handling facilities. Experience performing mechanical engineering calculations and analysis, including conveyor design, piping hydraulic calculations, equipment sizing, and material handling system design. Demonstrated experience in the design, specification, and selection of mechanical equipment and systems. Proven ability to coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities and successfully deliver small to medium-sized studies and projects. Practical site experience, including field engineering, construction support, commissioning, operational readiness, or operations support. Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project scope, schedule, budget, and resource management. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships and effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders. Experience supporting business development activities, including proposal preparation, estimating, technical sales support, and client presentations. Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Fluent in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to prepare high-quality technical reports, proposals, and client presentations.
