Senior Officer Road Network Outcomes

In this role, you'll: Play an important part in supporting the delivery of safe, efficient and sustainable road networks across NSW. Working closely with colleagues across Transport Planning and the wider Transport cluster, you will contribute research, analysis and coordination that strengthens evidence-based planning and investment decisions. With a strong focus on practical delivery, you will help translate technical inputs, data and frameworks into clear, actionable outputs that inform corridor and network planning, business cases and investment prioritisation. Key responsibilities include: • Deliver high-quality analysis and technical inputs to support road network outcome assessments and planning activities • Undertake research, manage data and develop insights and reporting to support evidence-based planning and investment decisions • Apply established frameworks and methodologies consistently to ensure reliable, high-quality outputs that meet organisational standards • Support the preparation of business cases, briefing notes and project documentation using accurate data and clear analysis • Provide project management support, including monitoring timelines, maintaining documentation, coordinating inputs and assisting with stakeholder updates • Work collaboratively within matrix teams across Transport Planning and the broader Transport cluster to provide integrated advice • Identify opportunities to improve processes, streamline reporting and enhance consistency across road network outcomes work • Manage competing priorities effectively to deliver agreed outputs within required timeframes For more information on this position and business unit, view the role description and information pack . About you You are a motivated and analytical professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and contributing to meaningful outcomes for the community. You bring a sound understanding of road network planning and are comfortable working with data, frameworks and technical information to develop practical insights. You take pride in producing clear, accurate and timely outputs, and you are proactive in managing your workload across multiple priorities. To succeed in this role, you will have: • An understanding of road network planning principles, including movement and place, and other frameworks and methodologies • Experience undertaking research, analysis and reporting to support planning or investment decisions • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences • The ability to work collaboratively across teams and build effective working relationships without direct authority • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and competing deadlines • A commitment to quality, integrity and accountability in line with public sector values • Relevant tertiary qualifications or demonstrated equivalent professional experience Who we are Transport for NSW provides a safe, integrated, and efficient transport system.
