Job description

At Kpler, we are dedicated to helping our clients navigate complex markets with ease. By simplifying global trade information and providing valuable insights, we empower organisations to make informed decisions in commodities, energy, and maritime sectors. Since our founding in 2014, we have focused on delivering top-tier intelligence through user-friendly platforms. Our team of over 850 experts from 69 countries works tirelessly to transform intricate data into actionable strategies, ensuring our clients stay ahead in a dynamic market landscape. Join us to leverage cutting-edge innovation for impactful results and experience unparalleled support on your journey to success. Kpler is expanding its Maritime & Logistics offering through two complementary products: Container Intelligence and Automotive Intelligence. Container Intelligence builds on Kpler’s existing container tracking capabilities, providing per-container ocean visibility alongside insights into terminal congestion, queues, stay and wait times, and predictive vessel ETAs and ETDs. Automotive Intelligence represents a new product opportunity, transforming Kpler’s data into a dedicated workspace for the automotive sector. As a Senior Product Manager, Container & Automotive Intelligence, you will own both products end to end, balancing the growth of an established offering with the development and launch of a new product from the ground up. Working closely with the Lead Product Manager – Maritime & Logistics, Engineering, Data, Sales, Marketing and sector teams, you will define product strategy, prioritise roadmaps, lead customer discovery and drive go-to-market execution. For Container Intelligence, your focus will be on expanding product capabilities, improving prediction quality and coverage, and increasing customer adoption and commercial growth. For Automotive Intelligence, you will work with the Automotive Sector Lead, Data Engineers and Automotive Analyst to shape the product strategy, define the initial offering and deliver a first release targeted for early 2027. This is an individual-contributor role for an experienced product professional who can manage multiple workstreams in parallel, make clear trade-offs and deliver data-driven products in an evolving market. You will be expected to take a pragmatic, iterative approach, launching products and capabilities efficiently before continuously improving them through customer feedback and market insights. Key Responsibilities Own the product strategy and roadmap for Container Intelligence and Automotive Intelligence, balancing customer needs, commercial impact, development effort and data readiness across both products. Drive delivery across both product teams, maintaining clear priorities, healthy backlogs and predictable release cadences while making trade-offs explicit when competing priorities arise. Lead customer discovery across both segments, translating customer feedback and market opportunities into prioritised product requirements and roadmap decisions. Collaborate with Engineering, Data, Sales, Customer Success, Product Marketing and sector teams to align product development, share capabilities and deliver customer value. Optimise Container Intelligence by expanding terminal congestion, dwell-time and vessel ETA/ETD prediction capabilities, improving data coverage and prediction quality across the web application and API. Build Automotive Intelligence from the ground up, translating sector strategy and customer needs into a product roadmap, epics, user stories and acceptance criteria across seven intelligence modules. Define the Automotive Intelligence workspace, bringing together trade flows and lane capacity, schedule reliability, fleet supply and renewal, charter rates and asset values, ports and terminals, and fuel, emissions, CII and bunkering insights into an actionable product experience. Drive go-to-market execution for both products, working with Product Marketing on positioning, packaging, pricing input and launch planning, while securing design partners and supporting early customer adoption for Automotive Intelligence. Establish clear product success metrics and trusted methodologies, tracking adoption, engagement, customer outcomes, ARR and customer logos, and using performance insights to guide ongoing product development. Skills & Experience 6–10 years of senior product management experience in a B2B data, analytics or SaaS environment, with a proven track record of delivering products that customers adopt. Experience managing multiple products or workstreams simultaneously, including taking a product from concept to launch while growing an existing product in the market. Experience working with data-heavy products, with an understanding of data sources, pipelines, technical dependencies and their implications for product strategy and delivery. Strong product discovery skills, with the ability to translate customer needs and market insights into clear product direction and prioritised roadmaps. Experience working closely with Engineering and Data teams to deliver data-driven products. Relevant experience in maritime, shipping, container logistics, automotive or trade intelligence, with an understanding of concepts such as AIS, ports and terminals, ETA prediction and emissions regulation, including EU ETS, FuelEU Maritime and CII. Understanding of go-to-market planning, including product positioning, packaging and pricing input. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage technical and commercial teams and external customers. A self-directed and decisive approach, with the ability to make trade-offs, take ownership of outcomes and operate with limited supervision. A pragmatic, action-oriented mindset, with the ability to work in ambiguous environments and deliver iteratively. Nice to have Experience developing and managing API-based products.
