Service Activation Engineer

Why we need this role As a Network Provisioning & Delivery Engineer, you will be responsible for configuring and delivering transmission services across Colt’s global network infrastructure. The role involves validating service designs, analysing routing and bandwidth requirements, configuring network elements, and performing pre-delivery testing to ensure high-quality service activation.Working closely with field engineers and cross-functional teams, you will support end-to-end service delivery, customer circuit migrations, and network testing activities. You will also develop deep expertise in Colt’s transport and optical platforms, act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for complex technical issues, lead escalations, and contribute to continuous improvements in service quality and operational excellence. Coltのグローバルネットワーク上で提供される伝送回線サービスの構築・導入を担当するポジションです。回線種別や帯域要件に基づき、サービス設計の妥当性確認、ルート検証、ネットワーク機器の設定およびテストを実施し、高品質なサービスデリバリーを支えます。また、フィールドエンジニアや関連部門と連携しながらエンドツーエンドのサービス開通試験や回線移行プロジェクトを推進します。将来的にはチーム内の技術エキスパート（SME）として、複雑な案件対応、エスカレーション管理、技術支援、品質向上活動をリードし、安定したネットワークサービスの提供に貢献いただきます。 What you will do As a Service Delivery Engineer, you will be responsible for configuring, testing, and delivering customer network services across Colt’s Carrier Ethernet, DWDM, OTN, Optical, and Packet platforms. Working closely with field engineers and cross-functional teams, you will ensure successful end-to-end service activation, network testing, and timely delivery of customer solutions while maintaining the highest levels of quality and accuracy. The role also involves leading complex delivery and migration projects, managing escalations, driving process and quality improvements, and acting as a technical and operational Subject Matter Expert (SME). You will collaborate with global stakeholders, support knowledge transfer initiatives, and help optimize service delivery operations to ensure an exceptional customer experience. Coltのグローバルネットワーク（Carrier Ethernet、DWDM、OTN、Optical Network等）におけるサービスデリバリーエンジニアとして、回線設定、テスト、導入、および顧客向けサービス開通までのプロセスを担当いただきます。フィールドエンジニアや国内外の関連チームと連携しながら、高品質かつ期限内でのサービス提供を実現する重要な役割です。 また、複雑なネットワークソリューションや顧客プロジェクトのリード、エスカレーション対応、品質改善活動、業務プロセス改善にも携わっていただきます。技術面・業務面のSubject Matter Expert（SME）として、チームメンバーの育成やナレッジ共有を推進し、サービスデリバリーの品質向上と業務効率化に貢献いただきます。 What we're looking for Must haves: The ideal candidate with 7+ years of relevant industry experience in Planning / Provisioning (Access and Core Network). Good understanding/Knowledge on installations & commissioning / testing / NOC environment (on Optical / Packet / SDH/SONET, DWDM and EoSDH / IP), and have practical experience of Bandwidth provisioning and testing. Good knowledge on various testers (like SUNRISE, ACTERNA, ANT-5, ANT-20 etc.) used for testing of transmission links. Good knowledge of various vendor based hardware’s used to deliver Data, Voice and IP services. Business level Japanese At least Conversational English 通信業界において、ネットワークプランニングまたはプロビジョニング（アクセスネットワークおよびコアネットワーク）に関する実務経験を7年以上有する方 光伝送、パケットネットワーク、SDH/SONET、DWDM、EoSDH、IPネットワークにおける導入・構築、試験、NOC（Network Operations Center）業務に関する十分な知識・理解を有し、帯域（Bandwidth）のプロビジョニングおよびテストの実務経験をお持ちの方 各種伝送回線試験機器（SUNRISE、ACTERNA、ANT-5、ANT-20など）の使用経験および知識 データ、音声、IPサービス提供に使用される各種ベンダー製ネットワーク機器に関する知識 日本語：Businessレベル 英語：日常会話レベル以上 Might have: CCNP/CCIE would be plus Knowledge on MSP, DWDM & NGN technologies MSP、DWDM、NGN（Next Generation Network）技術に関する知識・経験 CCNPまたはCCIE資格保有者歓迎 What we offer you: Looking to make a mark?
