Here at GXO, we are looking for an experienced and safety-conscious Shunter Driver to join our team at our Knottingley (WF11 0AB) site, supporting our TJX contract. This is a full-time, permanent position, working 42 hours per week on a 4 on, 4 off night shift pattern . What you’ll do on a typical day: Safely operate Class 1 (C+E) vehicles for the movement of palletised glass between local company sites Carry out regular shunting duties, including trailer movements and positioning of vehicles within site boundaries Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly Ensure all loads are secured correctly and transported safely in line with company procedures and legal requirements Adhere to all road transport legislation, driver hours regulations, and Working Time Directive requirements What you need to succeed at GXO: A full EU driving licence with category C+E entitlement A valid Driver Qualification Card (Driver CPC) Be in possession of a valid Digital Tachograph Card No more than 6 current penalty points No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99 endorsements with a conviction date within the previous 5 years We engineer faster, smarter, leaner supply chains GXO is a leading provider of cutting-edge supply chain solutions to the most successful companies in the world.
