In this role, you'll: Reporting to Director, Commercial and Contracts, The Senior Manager Commercial will lead commercial and risk performance across projects and portfolios, ensuring they are protected through optimal risk allocation within contracts and the implementation of robust, forward-looking contract management practices. The role is responsible for developing and embedding a Commercial Management Framework that strengthens contract administration, improves commercial outcomes, and proactively manages risks, including dispute prevention, insurance, fraud, and corruption controls. In addition, the Senior Manager Commercial will facilitate procurement and delivery strategy workshops to ensure sourcing decisions are commercially sound, minimise project risk exposure, and deliver value-for-money outcomes. The position will also establish consistent processes and tools to identify, assess, monitor, and report on risks, contingency utilisation, contractor performance, and contract status, including forecast and revised contract values, variations, claims, and extensions of time. Key accountabilities include: Lead commercial risk and dispute management by embedding a proactive risk culture that minimises claims, disputes, and cost overruns while protecting project and portfolio outcomes. Provide strategic commercial leadership and advice across contract negotiations, procurement, probity, tender evaluations, variations, claims, and value-for-money decision making. Strengthen contract governance and performance through the development and implementation of commercial frameworks, contract administration standards, and best-practice contract management processes. Drive stakeholder collaboration and issue resolution by fostering high-performing teams, resolving complex commercial challenges early, and ensuring compliance with contractual, TfNSW, and NSW Government requirements. Enhance commercial insight and forecasting through robust reporting, performance monitoring, and risk management practices that support informed decision making and successful project, program, and portfolio delivery.
