Software Engineer

About the role Our team in Eight Mile Plains, Brisbane is seeking a Software Engineer to join us in developing cutting-edge Electronic Warfare and Defence solutions.This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex and meaningful projects in a collaborative environment, partnering with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality outcomes. What the role will involve The responsibilities of your role will include the following: Develop modular, readable and robust code for defence systems adhering to security and functional requirements in Python, JavaScript, Typescript/React and C++. Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, systems design, agile development, review, test-driven development, integration, and verification. Presenting design details during customer reviews to a mix of participants with and without software engineering knowledge. Collaborate effectively with both software and other engineering disciplines as well as management, to ensure comprehensive coverage of requirements as efficiently as possible. Write and maintain both internal and deliverable documentation, either directly or through supervision of contractors. Provide Engineering support to manufacturing as required. Participate in internal and external demonstration activities for the purpose of sharing knowledge. Maintain a continuous improvement mindset.
