We're looking for a Spares Planner based in Macquarie Park, Sydney to manage spare parts planning, inventory optimisation and supply continuity across a diverse portfolio of platforms. In this role, you'll ensure critical spare parts are available to support operational requirements while balancing inventory investment, mitigating supply risks and maintaining inventory accuracy. Working closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers and supply chain teams, you'll drive demand and supply planning, supplier performance, inventory control and continuous improvement. What You'll Do Conduct regular reviews of spare parts plans across platforms to ensure inventory levels align with operational requirements. Execute Integrated Business Planning (IBP) activities in line with established planning schedules. Review demand requirements and raise Purchase Orders (POs) and Stock Transfer Orders (STOs) to maintain optimal stock levels. Monitor and manage spare parts shortages through regular reviews, coordinating stock redistribution where required. Analyse shortages, identify root causes and implement actions to improve spare parts availability. Lead regular supplier performance meetings and monitor key metrics, including turnaround time (TAT), non-conformance reports (NCRs), PO lead times and delivery performance. Approve Material Change Request Forms (MCRFs) and maintain master data integrity, including material classifications and MRP settings. Support stocktake activities, inventory reconciliation and adjustment processes to ensure inventory accuracy. Conduct last-buy and obsolescence analyses, developing strategies to secure long-term parts availability while minimising excess inventory. Identify opportunities for process and system improvements, including defining business requirements, raising enhancement requests and participating in User Acceptance Testing (UAT). What makes you perfect for the role? Extensive experience in spares planning, materials planning, supply planning or demand planning. Strong understanding of demand planning, MRP, inventory control and procurement processes. Experience using ERP systems, preferably SAP S/4HANA and SAP IBP. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions. Experience managing supplier relationships and performance. Advanced Microsoft Excel and data management capabilities. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a continuous improvement mindset.
