Michael)Location: Marshfield, MassachusettsNorthEast Sportsfield-Rec is looking for an experienced, hands-on Construction Sports Field Technician to join our team. We specialize in building high-quality baseball fields and athletic facilities—and we’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work and wants to grow a long-term career in the field.If you have experience in sports field construction and enjoy working both independently and as part of a crew, this is a great opportunity to be part of a team that builds and maintains top-tier athletic spaces.What You’ll Be DoingIn this role, you’ll help lead and execute sports field construction projects while ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency on-site.Your responsibilities will include:Planning daily and weekly work schedulesEnsuring all work is completed according to project specifications and drawingsLeading and working alongside laborers, providing direction and supportTracking crew hours and completing daily job reportsMaintaining responsibility for on-site safety and complianceCoordinating with general contractors, superintendents, and project managersAttending weekly job meetings as neededConducting regular safety meetings with the crewWhat We’re Looking ForWe’re looking for a dependable, experienced field professional who is comfortable taking ownership of projects and working with a high level of accountability.High school diploma required (2-year degree in turf or horticulture preferred)Minimum 5 years of experience in sports field constructionExperience with:Natural field constructionFence and backstop installationLayout, dugouts, bleachers, and concrete workEquipment operation (dozers, graders, laser equipment, excavators, etc.)Ability to read and interpret drawings, grading plans, and elevationsStrong communication skills, including working with clients and project teamsComfortable working independently when neededValid driver’s license with a good driving recordHydraulic license (or ability to obtain within 60 days)CDL Class A or B preferredDOT Medical Card requiredOSHA 10 or 30 certification required for public works projectsExperience using mobile work order/job tracking softwareWillingness to travel and stay overnight for 5+ days when requiredASBA and/or NPCAI certification is a plusWhat We OfferWe offer strong compensation, consistent work, and opportunities to grow within the company.Pay: $35–$45/hour depending on experiencePrevailing wage opportunities: $70–$92/hour (when eligible)Paid Time OffHealth InsuranceRetirement PlanPerformance bonusesTraining and certification incentivesIndustry license pay increasesAnnual merit reviewsAdvancement opportunities with long-term growth potentialYear-round employment with participation in snow operationsScheduleMonday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PMSaturdays may be required during busy seasons
