Job Summary Reporting to the IBP Director, the Senior Manager, Global Inventory will lead inventory strategy and governance across the West network to support service, supply reliability, working capital, and business growth. This role will serve as the central point of coordination for inventory health, balance, and visibility, ensuring inventory positions are aligned with operational realities, financial objectives, and leadership expectations. This role will collaborate across DDD, E&PC, West Vantage, Distribution Centers, Logistics, Integrated Systems, Network Planning, End-to-End Planning, and Tech Transfer Planning. While not directly responsible for fulfillment strategy or warehouse inventory build decisions, this role will align system inventory accuracy, production actuals, transfer activity, safety stock strategies, and monthly inventory reporting across the network. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Lead inventory strategy and governance across the West network. Serve as the central point of coordination for inventory health, balance, and visibility. Collaborate across planning, manufacturing, logistics, distribution, integrated systems, and contract manufacturing teams to ensure inventory alignment with leadership expectations. Integrate inventory strategy into the monthly IBP/SIOP process. Partner with End-to-End Planners through the PSOM monthly meeting to review inventory actuals, forecasts, safety stock, production attainment, and transfer impacts. Act as the primary inventory touchpoint to align system accuracy, production execution, transfer activity, safety stock, and network inventory positioning. Support inventory alignment for product transfers, lifecycle changes, and dual-sourcing initiatives. Identify inventory imbalances, risks, and constraints, and drive alignment on mitigation actions. Help prevent obsolete inventory, including expiry-related risk, by surfacing excess inventory and supporting redeployment or demand opportunities. Establish and maintain standard processes for monthly inventory reporting and governance. Translate supply and inventory projections into financial impacts, including working capital, cash flow, EBIT, and balance sheet implications. Lead scenario modeling and trade-off analysis to support decision-making. Drive continuous improvement in inventory planning, reporting, and reconciliation processes. Ensure compliance with applicable company policies, procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements. Perform other duties as assigned. #LI-TH1 Basic Qualifications Minimum 10 years of leadership experience in inventory strategy, supply chain planning, S&OP, or IBP. Experience leading cross-functional planning in a complex supply chain environment. Experience managing or governing inventory across multi-node networks. Strong financial acumen, including working capital, cash flow, EBIT, and balance sheet impacts. Experience with scenario modeling, trade-off analysis, and inventory governance. Strong communication, collaboration, and influencing skills. Education Bachelor's Degree Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or Business required. Master's Degree MBA preferred. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree or MBA. Knowledge of Oliver Wight IBP frameworks and Integrated Reconciliation. Experience in regulated industries such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals, biotech, or healthcare manufacturing. Experience with planning and ERP platforms such as SAP IBP, O9, Kinaxis, or similar tools. APICS / ASCM and/or Oliver Wight certification preferred. Experience with network strategy, tech transfers, dual sourcing, contract manufacturing, and multi-node inventory governance preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain planning and inventory strategy. Ability to connect operational decisions to financial outcomes. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to lead through influence in a matrixed environment. Ability to manage complexity, ambiguity, and competing priorities. Understanding inventory risk management, including excess, expiry, obsolescence, and redeployment. Commitment to continuous improvement and disciplined planning processes. Ability to work with large data sets in Excel and Power BI. License and Certifications Manufacturing\Certified in Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)-APICS preferred. Manufacturing\Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM)-APICS preferred. Travel Requirements 20%: Up to 52 business days per year Physical Requirements Sedentary-Exerting up to 10lbs/4kgs of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
