Job description
Your impact begins here As Sr Manager, LIMS and Ecosystems, you will lead the team responsible for LIMS (Laboratory IT Management Systems) and Ecosystems, giving people clear direction and turning departmental plans into priorities they can act on today. You will build a team that is well staffed, growing and accountable, and work with IT and business partners to secure reliable, compliant delivery. Your impact will be felt in a team that performs consistently and in the colleagues who rely on its work. What you’ll bring You are a people leader who sets direction, follows through and keeps teams moving, in a complex and regulated environment. A Master’s degree or equivalent relevant education. Substantial relevant experience may compensate for formal education requirements. Relevant people-leadership experience, including goal setting, delegation, performance management, development and employee relations. Experience leading professional employees and coordinating assignments of medium to high complexity. Experience translating departmental plans into operational goals, priorities and follow-up. Experience with workforce and capacity planning, recruitment and FTE-related budget management. Experience working with IT and business stakeholders in a complex, regulated organisation. The ability to communicate clearly, make timely decisions, work independently and handle conflicts and difficult conversations constructively. An inclusive mindset that respects different perspectives and reflects The Novo Way. Novo leadership training, or willingness to complete the required leadership training. Useful, but not essential: Knowledge of laboratory systems, enterprise IT or adjacent regulated-business domains. What you’ll do You will be the first-line leader for the LIMS and Ecosystems area, accountable for how the team performs, develops and delivers. Set clear expectations and goals for the team and each employee, and hold regular one-to-ones, team meetings and performance dialogues. Turn LAPS priorities into team plans, milestones and follow-up routines, balancing planned work, operational support and emerging issues based on business impact, risk and capacity. Act as hiring manager, plan the team’s future skills and capacity, and ensure structured onboarding, development plans, succession and career conversations. Own the team’s FTE-related budget and the system budgets for the area, and recommend adjustments when demand and capacity are not balanced. Make sure procedures, quality requirements and information security expectations are understood and followed, and that risks and compliance concerns are raised and acted on early. Simplify team routines, roles and interfaces, and lead agreed changes until they are embedded. Who you’ll work with You will join Enterprise IT & Quality, where colleagues work across the Novo value chain, stay close to stakeholders and help deliver trusted technology, high quality and responsible ways of working. This is the department of Laboratory and PAT solutions, where colleagues deliver IT solutions and drive digitalization for laboratories and quality control across Novo globally. You will lead a team of professional employees in LIMS and Ecosystems and take part in the LAPS Leadership Team, aligning priorities, capacity and dependencies with your peer leaders. Day to day, you will work with Product Management, system and solution roles, business representatives and colleagues in EIT (Enterprise IT) and Line of Business to set expectations, share delivery status and resolve issues. HR and finance partners will support you on recruitment, performance, reward, workforce planning and budget. You will be the first escalation point for team matters, and you will make sure decisions, risks and escalations reach the right level quickly and clearly. What you can expect here You will be trusted to work independently within agreed objectives and to make decisions for your team. Clear performance expectations, honest feedback and a culture that recognises results will help you perform at your best, and you will have the chance to grow your own leadership through Novo’s leadership training. You will help build an inclusive team environment based on trust, accountability, respectful dialogue and attention to well-being, and you will bring your perspective to department planning and improvement. Salary: For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 742,600DKK to 1,091,600DKK, corresponding to the level of the position. The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience. Start now Your impact begins today. If you are ready to lead a team that delivers reliable, compliant LIMS and Ecosystems services, apply by 16 November 2026.
