Requisition ID: 78467 Description The Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and compliance of supplied materials, components, and services throughout the supply chain. The SQE partners closely with suppliers, engineering, operations, procurement, and manufacturing teams to drive supplier quality performance, mitigate risks, resolve quality issues, and support new product introductions. The role requires strong technical expertise, supplier management skills, and the ability to lead quality improvement initiatives across global suppliers. Responsibilities Own and improve supplier quality performance through KPI monitoring, supplier reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives. Conduct supplier audits and assessments covering quality systems, manufacturing processes, capabilities, and compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and customer requirements. Qualify new suppliers through technical evaluations, process audits, and risk assessments. Lead supplier-related quality issue investigations, containment actions, root cause analysis (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, FMEA), and corrective action verification. Strengthen Incoming Quality Control (IQC) by optimizing inspection plans, analyzing quality trends, and reducing incoming material risks. Support new product and process introductions by reviewing APQP-related documents such as FMEA, Control Plans, MSA, SPC, process validation, and engineering changes. Perform supplier risk assessments and implement mitigation plans to minimize quality, delivery, and operational risks. Drive defect reduction, yield improvement, cost-of-quality reduction, and supplier quality excellence projects. Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and quality teams to improve supplier performance. Prepare and maintain supplier scorecards, audit reports, technical documentation, and management presentations while ensuring compliance with quality management systems. Required Experience and Skills Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Material Science, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related technical field. Minimum 5 years of experience in Supplier Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing Quality, or related field. Experience working with semiconductor, wafer manufacturing, electronics, automotive, aerospace, or high-tech manufacturing industries. Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100, or equivalent). Experience conducting supplier audits and supplier qualification activities. Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving skills utilizing 8D, 5-Why, FMEA, SPC, and statistical methods. Experience managing supplier corrective actions and quality improvement projects. Ability to interpret engineering specifications, and process documentation. Strong communication and project management skills. Willingness to travel internationally up to 30%. Desired Experience and Skills Semiconductor, wafer fabrication, electronics, or advanced manufacturing experience. Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Supplier Quality Professional (CSQP), Lead Auditor, or equivalent certification. Experience with incoming inspection systems and AQL sampling methodologies. Experience with supplier benchmarking and risk-based supplier management Proficiency in quality data analysis and reporting tools such as JMP, Power BI, or equivalent.
