Steel Fixer

We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Steel Fixer to join our construction team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a Steel Fixer, you will play a critical role in the structural integrity of our construction projects by accurately positioning and securing reinforcement steel according to engineering specifications and building codes. This position requires precision, organizational skills, and a commitment to safety excellence on dynamic construction sites. Position and secure reinforcement steel bars and mesh in concrete formwork according to approved drawings and specifications Interpret and analyze construction blueprints, structural plans, and technical documentation to ensure accurate steel placement Tie and bind steel reinforcement using appropriate techniques and materials to maintain structural alignment Inspect steel placement for quality assurance and compliance with project specifications and UAE building codes Organize and manage steel materials on-site, ensuring proper storage and accessibility Collaborate with construction teams, engineers, and supervisors to coordinate steel fixing activities Maintain accurate records of completed work and material usage Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment and hazard awareness Identify and report potential safety hazards or structural concerns to supervisory personnel Perform quality checks to verify that all steel reinforcement meets design requirements before concrete pouring Proven experience as a Steel Fixer or in reinforcement steel work on construction projects Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications Strong knowledge of steel fixing techniques, tools, and equipment Familiarity with UAE construction codes, standards, and safety regulations Excellent organizational and time management skills Physical capability to perform manual labor and work at heights Attention to detail and ability to maintain quality standards Strong safety awareness and commitment to accident prevention Ability to work effectively as part of a construction team Preferred: Experience with CAD software or digital construction documentation Preferred: Background in high-rise or large-scale infrastructure projects Preferred: Experience supervising or mentoring junior steel fixers Waagner Biro Bridge Services is a leading engineering and construction company in the UAE, with over 50 years of experience delivering specialized infrastructure, bridge, and maintenance solutions across Dubai and the wider region.
