Strategic Accounts ManagerNationwideAs a leading manufacturer of advanced measurement technology for the water utility industry, Master Meter is currently looking for an experienced Strategic Accounts Manager to develop assigned national strategic accounts. Position can be based anywhere in close proximity to a large national airport for direct outbound flights.As our Strategic Accounts Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing and deploying sales strategies that will advance our market share, within the Municipal Market, to achieve profitable growth. You will lead sales and business development and represent Master Meter in fostering a trusted relationship with customers, Master Meter Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) and our Distribution partners. We're looking for an energetic, versatile and collaborative individual who can work effectively across all levels of an organization. You must be a proven sales professional with a strong drive to succeed and an entrepreneurial mindset, eager to foster team growth through shared knowledge and experience. Your focus will be on expanding strategic accounts, ensuring alignment with our strategic vision. If you have a passion for sales, and experience selling to Municipalities, and you are motivated by the challenge of growing a market with proven potential - we should talk.Responsibilities:Maintain and strengthen relationships with RSMs and water utility companiesProvide support to RSMs and distributor sales personnel including business plan development and execution, product training, technical support, solo or joint sales calls, and warranty supportEstablish direct utility sales in market areas when required or not currently covered by distribution Manage future sales pipeline and provide accurate data for sales forecastingBuild trusted relationships with utility representatives at multiple levels within their organizationRepresent Master Meter at national and regional trade showsQualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experienceExperience with Water Meters and/or AMI & AMR SystemsAt least 8 years of proven sales experience driving national growth of innovative technology within municipalities or other government organizations with a track record of successDemonstrated ability to effectively forecast sales growth Demonstrated account management and sales experience with a solid understanding of the sales process combined with experience selling direct and through Distributors Ability to gather and understand market changes and forces that influence Municipal buying decisionsDemonstrated ability to act as a brand ambassadorDriven, entrepreneurial-minded individual with strong business acumen Proven ability to develop trusted relationships and follow through on commitmentsAbility to think strategically and work with stakeholders at all levelsExcellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills Self-starter, flexible and willing to work on tasks unrelated to your primary roleNational Travel Required, must live in close proximity to a large national airport for direct outbound flightsAdded Bonus: Prior Experience with Salesforce.comWhy Join Us?Become part of a growing company where long-term tenure and employee advancement have been the foundation of our company culture since 1980Work in a collaborative, innovative environment where your contributions directly impact the success of the companyJoin a pioneer in the design, development, and manufacturing of water meters and systems used in homes and businesses around the globeMaster Meter is a world leader in the technological advancement of water measurement technology, metering communication, and software with the goal to improve the efficiency and costs of our customer baseWe are constantly evolving and have become a data driven company developing leading edge technology.
