Job description
Our Future Health is the UK’s largest ever health research programme, bringing people together to transform the future of healthcare. Today, millions of people across the UK live with conditions such as cancer, dementia, diabetes, and heart disease. By bringing together 5 million volunteers from across the UK, Our Future Health is creating one of the most detailed pictures of human health ever assembled.
We collaborate with some of the leading biomedical research charities, and we’re looking for a Strategic Partnerships Manager who thrives in a team-driven, fast-moving environment to help take these partnerships even further.
You’ll sit at the intersection of strategy, delivery, and collaboration, working across teams internally and with external organisations to unlock more value from our partnerships.
You’ll help us:
Deepen and evolve relationships with major charity partners
Design and deliver innovative partnership models
Identify new opportunities that accelerate our research impact
If you enjoy variety, working across disciplines, and seeing the tangible impact of your work, this role is built for you.
You’ll be a key part of a collaborative team managing a high-value portfolio of partnerships, with responsibilities spanning strategy, delivery, and relationship management:
Build and grow partnerships with UK and international biomedical research charities
Spot and secure new opportunities, from early conversations through to negotiated agreements
Shape partnership models that drive meaningful research outcomes
Work cross-functionally with colleagues across research, delivery, and engagement teams
Lead and support partner initiatives, ensuring they deliver real value and impact
Develop governance approaches that keep partnerships effective and efficient
Represent Our Future Health externally, building credibility and trust in the sector
We’re less interested in a single career path and more interested in people who bring breadth, curiosity, and a collaborative approach.
You will likely have experience in:
Partnership or collaboration-led roles; you’re confident engaging and communicating with external parties
Leading or overseeing projects and new initiatives
Research funding organisations / medical research charities / academic setting in a funding role (not fundraising)
Running committees and boards
And you’ll likely bring:
A proven ability to work across teams and disciplines
Experience managing or contributing to partnerships or complex programmes
Confidence in building relationships and influencing stakeholders
Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities
Clear, compelling communication, written and verbal
A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
It’s a bonus if you have:
Experience working with biomedical research charities
Understanding of population health research, cohort studies, or health data infrastructure
Closing date for applications : 9am, 26th May.
Salary from £57,000.
