Job ID: 42020 Surveyor / Senior Surveyor – Marine & Offshore Lloyd’s Register Location: - Constanta, Romania What we’re looking for To deliver an effective technical and commercial service, to assess the design / production / in service aspects of engineering assets, using procedures, experience and knowledge appropriate for routine situations. Full-time permanent role. The role Manage surveys on specific high-risk activities within their discipline and experience / knowledge. To conduct and manage relevant activities, providing advice and alternative solutions for service delivery within areas of experience, adhering to budget constraints and contractual requirements within defined Marine KPI's. To ensure all deliverables produced by the office meet internal and external requirements; to budget, time and quality, taking the responsibility to review and monitor work activity. To discuss and present the deliverable with internal / external clients up to senior level and be able to suggest solutions where necessary. Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, accreditation schemes, legislation, and industry standards. To pursue Continuous Professional Development and maintain a high degree of discipline, knowledge and awareness. To assess or recommend the time and value of the work to be undertaken for an external client agreeing the most appropriate fee and cost structure up to authorization level. To make recommendations based on internal / external client feedback to assist in internal and external process improvement, service delivery and to help build the business working alongside the local Business Development team. To ensure that time booked is either within the permissible range or fully understand the reasons why additional / reduced time was taken and where appropriate indicate where an increased fee should be charged. Ensuring own authorizations are up to date and refresher learning and development is reviewed and planned accordingly through the performance review process. Undertake administration as required in line with current processes and procedures. What you bring A Degree or equivalent from a tertiary organization recognized by Lloyd's Register within the relevant field of engineering or physical science (minimum of two years programme) or qualifications from a marine or mechanical engineering institution. Significant relevant industry practical experience. In depth knowledge and prior experience applying the classification rules and regulations. Membership of an appropriate professional institution (I. Eng or equivalent). Computer literacy using relevant software and hardware Ability to combine generic and specialist engineering knowledge In depth technical business understanding and ability to optimize the application of existing and emerging technology. Ability to apply appropriate theoretical and practical methodology towards the analysis of root cause of engineering issues and problem solving. Ability to provide technical direction operating as a Lead within the responsibilities assigned. Proficient in both written and verbal English, using relevant technical and professional language. A full clean Driving License. Ability and willingness to travel mainly within the area above and on a case-by-case basis. Nice to have: Membership of an appropriate professional institution. Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status. Offshore knowledge/ experience would be beneficial but not mandatory.
