Team Leader, Process Engineering

Ambu is currently looking for a Process Engineering Team Lead to be based in Penang, Malaysia. Reporting directly to Process Engineering Manager, this role offers an exciting opportunity to grow within the dynamic world of medical device manufacturing. Key responsibilities Your main responsibilities will include: Lead and manage the Process Engineering team, including development, performance management, and resource planning Drive manufacturing process improvements, yield enhancement, productivity, cost reduction, and capacity optimization initiatives Lead process changes, and technical problem-solving activities Support new product introduction (NPI), technology transfer, and manufacturing readiness activities Collaborate with Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, R&D, and Regulatory functions to ensure compliant and efficient manufacturing processes Support audits, regulatory inspections, and compliance activities related to manufacturing processes Suggested candidate profile Skills and experiences can be earned in many different ways, and we understand that the best fit for the role cannot be prescribed on paper. You are however likely to succeed in this position if you: Minimum Bachelor Degree in Engineering or equivalent discipline. Experienced in process engineering. Excellent technical skills. Possess knowledge in related medical device standards. Experience in process simulations. Familiar with health and safety regulations. Analytical thinker with interpersonal skills. Experience in medical device industry will be given priority.
