In this role, you'll: Work as a dedicated Team Leader to lead our high performing rail Traction team. Along with leading, the role plans and manages the work allocation to the team, providing frontline technical support, quality and safety assurance and assisting the Electrical Team Manager in ensuring the quality of maintenance on Electrical discipline Infrastructure Fixed Assets in a defined geographical boundary to agreed standards. Work is vital to keeping Sydney moving as we deliver routine maintenance on the railway civil, signal, electrical and control system assets on the metropolitan passenger network and co-ordinate infrastructure incident response. Ensure maintenance is carried out in a manner that meets all standards Provide frontline technical and safety advice and support to the Work Groups Review forward maintenance plans identifying key issues and potential mitigation strategies Coordinate all administration management pertaining to switching/isolations Provide information to and support multi discipline initiatives, fostering a collaborative working environment Execute safety responsibilities, authorities and accountabilities This is a Permanent Full-Time role AVP5.1 based out of Blacktown. You will work on a roster Monday to Friday with shifts on 2 weekends per month expected. The position requires you to be on call and overtime will be required also. For more information on this position and business unit, view the role description and infromation pack About you We are seeking applications from experienced Electrical Rail Traction employees who understand the electrical network, planning functions, ENSR and internal management systems. The candidate will have a demonstrated history of leading electrical teams, proven experience maintaining rail traction systems and be comfortable with detailed planning and instructions for staff. Electrical Trade Certificate - Plus Qualified as an Authorised Traction Operator and Authorised Traction Live Line Worker and attained Competency Level 4.1 or above Sound knowledge and show extensive experience Rail Traction Networks and 1500 Voltage Overhead Wiring and Transmission lines Busy faced paced leader who can manage people, critical incidents, maintenance and planning while balancing the important day-to-day operations to ensure continuity of service Overhead line work experience is essential in the heavy rail environment Excellent effective oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, negotiation skills, influencing skills and be able to use systems including maintenance management systems, work processing, spreadsheets and other Microsoft suite programs Who we are Transport for NSW provides a safe, integrated, and efficient transport system.
