Position Details Position Status: Temporary Full Time Term Ends: March 01, 2027 Location: Dr. Vernon Fanning Centre, Recreation Therapy - Night Owls Project BW Hours: 77.50 FTE: 1.00 Shift: Evenings Shift Times: 1500- 2315 Union: Non Union GSS Rate of Pay: 25.46 - 30.13 PCN: tmp261WTAsst04 Date Competition Closes: November 12, 2025 The Opportunity Position Summary: Responsible for working under the direction of the Recreation Therapist(s) to provide therapeutic programming to clients. The focus is on helping clients to achieve life enrichment and recreation goals. This position reports to a Director of Care for performance and employment matters. This position works as part of the therapy team to contribute to the client’s quality of life by providing appropriate interventions to maximize safety, functional independence, leisure pursuits, reduce boredom and improve mental health. Responsible for other related duties as required. Qualifications & Experience: - Graduation from an Accredited Therapy Assistant program. - Previous experience in a therapeutic setting is essential. - Experience with computers preferred.
