Job description
Project Overview
We are seeking Tier 2-certified drivers to support a structured vehicle data collection project in cooperation with a global automotive manufacturer.
The assignment focuses on collecting real-world driving data across different road types, traffic conditions, lighting environments, and weather conditions. The collected data will support the development and improvement of future driver assistance technologies.
All vehicles are manually operated by the driver at all times. This role focuses on safe driving, equipment operation, and data collection rather than engineering, system development, or vehicle performance evaluation.
Key Responsibilities
Driving and Route Execution
Safely operate a project vehicle on public roads, following predefined routes and assigned shift schedules.
Manually drive the vehicle at all times.
Cover urban, highway, and rural roads under different lighting and weather conditions.
Comply with local traffic laws and project safety procedures.
Data Collection Equipment
Power on and monitor in-vehicle data collection systems.
Clean sensors every 1–2 hours, as instructed.
Monitor equipment status throughout each shift.
Handle SSDs, HDDs, and other project equipment according to established procedures.
Manual Tagging and Documentation
Tag predefined driving scenarios according to project training.
Complete daily logbooks and required vehicle check documentation.
Report incidents, route deviations, and technical issues promptly.
Compliance and Communication
Follow instructions from the project coordinator.
Maintain clear communication in English.
Comply with confidentiality requirements and data-handling procedures.
Candidate Requirements
Valid driving licence recognized in the assigned operating region.
Valid T2 certification accepted by the client for the project.
Safe and responsible driving record.
Ability to maintain concentration during long driving shifts.
Willingness to work rotating shifts, including occasional night shifts.
Availability for frequent business travel within the assigned region and occasional travel to the designated project hub.
Ability to follow detailed technical and operational procedures.
Basic professional English communication skills.
Strong reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail.
Previous ADAS, autonomous driving, or engineering experience is not required unless specifically requested for the assignment. Project-specific operational training will be provided before data collection begins.
Work Setup and Schedule
Location: Assigned operating region, with potential assignments across multiple locations.
Schedule: 5 days per week, approximately 40 hours per week.
Shifts: Two main shifts, with occasional night shifts depending on operational requirements.
Driving time: Approximately 6.5–7 hours per working day.
Travel: Frequent business travel within the assigned region is required. Initial training and test runs will take place before regular data collection. Occasional returns to the designated project hub may be required.
Route logistics: Daily routes start and end at the assigned hub or designated location, according to project instructions.
Contract: Independent Contractor Agreement
Schedules are planned in advance and communicated by the project team. Shifts and route assignments may vary according to operational needs.
Vehicle and Safety
A project vehicle will be provided by the project partner.
The vehicle will be registered and approved for public-road use in the assigned region.
Vehicle insurance and operational coverage will be provided at the project level.
Safety takes priority over data collection. Routes or shifts may be adjusted if weather, road, or other conditions are unsafe.
