Trainee (m/f/d) – Mondi Uncoated Fine Paper Graduate Programme (18 Months) This Trainee role requires personal presence in Wormer, The Netherlands (with international assignments across Europe) Start Your International Career with Mondi Uncoated Fine Paper. Our 18‑month Mondi Uncoated Fine Paper Graduate Programme offers ambitious graduates the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Business Development and Sales. You will build a comprehensive understanding of the paper industry while contributing to meaningful projects that support our customers, mills, and sustainability ambitions. You will work closely with experienced managers, participate in cross-functional projects, and develop an international network across Mondi's European operations. Your Development Journey During the programme, you will focus on two key business functions: 1. Business Development Identify new market opportunities and growth segments Opportunity to participate in new product developments for our mills in Europe and South Africa Support strategic market analyses and business planning Assess commercial opportunities within existing and emerging channels Contribute to strategic initiatives supporting Mondi's growth ambitions Ownership lead and sampling process 2. Sales Europe Work with distributors, merchants, converters, printers and key channel partners Learn account management and commercial negotiation techniques Support budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis Develop customer strategies and market development plans Gain understanding of pricing, margin management, and value-based selling Supporting the introduction of new products to existing and new customers and markets What You Will Gain Deep understanding of the paper and packaging industry Exposure to international business and cross-functional collaboration Mentoring from experienced leaders and subject matter experts Participation in real business projects with visible impact Access to learning and development opportunities through Mondi Academy Opportunity to build a strong internal network across Europe Potential career opportunities within Sales and Business Development, upon successful completion of the program. What We Are Looking For ( All the criteria below are mandatory.) Background and Expertise Master's or Bachelor degree in Sales, Marketing, or related fields Fluent English and Fluent in at least one additional language: French, German, Italian or Spanish Recent graduate in Sales or Marketing OR Having maximum 2 years of professional experience in Sales or in Marketing related fields in an international environment International exposure (through studies, internships, or exchange programs) Skills and Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Entrepreneurial mindset and commercial curiosity Excellent communication and presentation skills Ability to work independently and in multicultural teams High degree of flexibility and willingness to travel internationally What We Offer Structured 18‑month development program International exposure across Mondi operations Meaningful projects with real business impact Mentoring, coaching, and leadership development Strong focus on personal development and career growth Opportunity to become part of a global leader in sustainable packaging and paper We strive to create a culture that inspires our people to reach their full potential.
