Job description

We would like to present you with an exciting opportunity for a Transport Compliance Supervisor to join our team in Mansfield on a full time permanent basis. Salary: £30,000 per annum. Working hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm. As a Transport Compliance Supervisor you will be responsible for ensuring all vehicles are maintained and roadworthy ensuring we operate within legal constraints. Keeping the drivers trained in all operational needs whilst ensuring best driving practice through management of Microlise driver performance management. Key Duties of a Transport Compliance Supervisor: Manage compliance activity for the depot, ensuring events are booked in line with company’s compliance objectives, chase each booking is completed thoroughly and appropriate escalations carried out. Provide daily/weekly reports relating to compliance status of the company’s fleet. Complete follow up activities at stipulated times to ensure vehicle arrival at the vendor or attendance by the mobile engineer and take required action for ‘no-shows’. Proactively check work in progress, updating systems with appropriate detail accurately. Proactively chase and obtain correct documentation within required timeframes and ensure the immediate onward provision of documents relating to specific vehicles and assets. Support other team members when required, assisting with any activities, which are within the wider team’s remit. Track service provider performance and carry out quarterly reviews with the main service providers. Track financial non-con repair costs and actively manage individuals. Manage the Nvolve training platform and ensure it maintains above 98% compliance. Manage the Evotix system and manage the closure of cases raised within 10 working days. Ensure all processes have been captured including re-training, Dp’s. Drivers are fully assessed and all ADA’s and DCPC are completed annually. Agency driver inductions are planned and agreed. Thorough understanding of commercial vehicle and ancillary equipment, compliance requirements. Experience in an environment managing commercial vehicle compliance, and full familiarity with scheduling, booking, and managing slippage. Proven team worker, with drive, enthusiasm and a ‘can do’ mind-set, supportive of colleagues and willing to get involved. Experience in a customer facing role, or a role that involved extensive direct customer interaction and dealing with difficult challenges. Highly organised, able to manage multiple work streams effectively. Knowledge of the sector and relevant operational practices.
