Travel Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Long Term Care | (Night Shift)

Location: Dubuque, IA Pay: $1,387.30 / week Job Type: Full-time, Travel / Contract Shift: Night Shift (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM) Job Summary Are you an experienced Travel LPN looking for your next rewarding assignment? We are seeking a dedicated and flexible Travel Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our long-term care team in Dubuque, IA . In this role, you will provide person-centered care, chronic disease management, and daily nursing assessments for residents in a collaborative skilled nursing facility. Key Responsibilities Resident Care & Monitoring: Monitor vital signs, conduct routine assessments, and administer medications while tracking responses in the Electronic Health Record (EHR). Clinical Procedures: Perform wound care, dressing changes, and other routine procedures following established care plans. Team & Family Communication: Promptly communicate changes in resident condition to RNs, physicians, and resident family members. Daily Support: Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) and support ongoing rehabilitation activities as directed. Compliance & Safety: Maintain precise, timely medical records in the EHR and follow all facility safety protocols. Requirements & Qualifications Education: Graduate of an approved Practical Nursing program. Licensure: Active LPN license in the State of Iowa (or a valid Compact/Multistate LPN license). Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification. Experience: 1+ years of nursing experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting required. Shift Availability: Flexible and committed to working night shifts ( 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM ). Skills: Strong communication skills with families and multidisciplinary team members; proficiency with EHR documentation. Preferred Qualifications Prior travel nursing experience. Hands-on experience with wound care and palliative care principles. Work Environment Facility-based long-term care setting. Night shift schedule with a collaborative team of nurses, CNAs, and therapists.
