Position: Physical Therapist — General Location: San Luis Obispo, California, United States Start date: 08/17/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Weekly pay: $2,488 – $2,590 per week Guaranteed hours: 40 per week Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM, five 8-hour days with periodic weekend coverage Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital Overview As a Physical Therapist in a general acute care setting, you will plan and conduct segments of treatment programs to restore and improve physical function while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. This travel assignment is in a short-term acute care hospital in San Luis Obispo, CA, with a 40-hour guaranteed week, 13 weeks in duration, and a 3:00 PM–11:00 PM shift schedule. You will provide evaluations, develop individualized care plans, and implement therapy protocols, coordinating discharge planning and ensuring accurate documentation. Key Highlights - Weekly pay: $2,488–$2,590 - Guaranteed hours: 40 per week - Contract duration: 13 weeks - Shift: 3:00 PM–11:00 PM (five 8-hour days) with potential weekend coverage - Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital - Start date: 08/17/2026 - Travel assignment with dedicated support and extension opportunities Responsibilities - Conduct patient evaluations and establish individualized physical therapy plans. - Deliver therapy interventions using appropriate techniques and evidence-based protocols. - Monitor progress, adjust treatment plans, and communicate changes to the care team. - Document assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge planning within established timelines. - Supervise assigned therapy assistants and coordinate with other disciplines to meet patient goals.
