Overview Radiation Therapist — Radiation Therapy Tech in Marysville, CA. Start date 08/10/2026 for an 8-week travel assignment in a short-term acute care hospital. Guaranteed 36 hours per week with a 3x12-hour day shift. Weekly pay range: $2,480–$2,490. Key Highlights - Weekly pay: $2,480–$2,490 per week - Guaranteed hours: 36 hours - Contract duration: 8 weeks - Shift: 3x12-hour days - Start date: 08/10/2026 - Setting: Short-term acute care hospital Responsibilities - Administer prescribed ionizing radiation therapy per physician prescription, confirming patient identity and treatment chart against the prescription. - Explain procedures to the patient, communicate during treatment, and address questions to support patient comfort and understanding. - Prepare treatment room and immobilization devices, transfer the patient to the treatment couch, and ensure proper positioning according to the treatment plan. - Deliver the prescribed daily dose while adhering to radiation safety protocols for patient and staff. - Monitor patients for unusual reactions or complications during treatment and report findings to the supervisor and department physician. - Maintain daily treatment records and review patient charts to ensure accuracy of notes, blood counts, and reports; coordinate with the treatment team as needed. - Provide clinical supervision and evaluate students’ practical ability to perform procedures when applicable. Requirements - Licenses/Certifications: Required ARRT-T (Radiation Therapy) certification and Therapeutic Radiology Technology (TRT) certification. - Education: Bachelor’s Degree in radiologic technology or equivalent; Master’s Degree preferred. - Experience: At least two years of recent radiologic therapy experience. - Additional: Current CPR/BLS certification preferred; Fluoroscopy permit preferred; ability to work in a short-term acute care hospital setting; state licensure as applicable.
