Overview Registered Nurse – Charge Acute Care Specialty: Charge Acute Care Location: San Luis Obispo, California, US Start date: 08/03/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Weekly pay: $2,391–$2,572 per week Guaranteed hours: 36 per week Shift: 3x12 nights (1800–0630) Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital Key Highlights - Weekly pay range: $2,391–$2,572 per week - Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week - Contract duration: 13 weeks - Shift: 3x12 night shifts, 1800–0630 - Start date: 08/03/2026 - Acute care unit leadership role within a travel assignment Responsibilities - Provide unit-based leadership, supervising nursing and ancillary personnel across assigned shifts. - Collaborate with the Nurse Manager, Director, and physicians to develop and revise care plans for optimal patient outcomes. - Direct and monitor nursing care to ensure patient safety, quality of care, and patient satisfaction; participate in direct patient care as needed. - Conduct rounds to assess patient care needs; introduce self to patients and families; solicit feedback on care and service. - Promote patient- and family-centered care with attention to cultural diversity and individual needs. - Develop and implement improvement strategies with leadership to enhance patient experience and outcomes on the unit.
