Overview Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (Travel) position in Los Angeles, California. Start date: 08/17/2026 for 8 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,100–$2,252 per week with guaranteed hours of 48 per week on a 3x12 night shift in a home healthcare–hospice setting. Key Highlights - Weekly pay: $2,100–$2,252 per week - Guaranteed hours: 48 hours per week - Contract duration: 8 weeks - Shift: 3x12 nights - Start date: 08/17/2026 - Setting: Home healthcare – hospice Responsibilities - Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. - Collect relevant health data, analyze assessment information, and identify care issues and diagnoses. - Develop and implement a nursing care plan, administer medications and treatments as ordered, and monitor patient response. - Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teammates, patients, and families to maintain a safe, healing environment. - Participate in discharge planning and provide patient/family education and health information to support continuity of care. - Delegate appropriately and supervise activities of nursing staff, ensuring safe and efficient care delivery. - Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record and support ongoing quality and safety initiatives. Requirements - Licensure: Registered Nurse (RN) license in the practicing state (California) required. - Certifications: BLS/CPR required; ACLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required; Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS) training required. - Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent ER or acute care nursing experience; acute care facility experience preferred. - Education: BSN preferred. - EMR: Recent EPIC experience required (within the last 12 months). - Other: Ability to work night shift and to perform duties in a home healthcare–hospice setting.
