Overview Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (ER) Atlanta, Georgia Start date: August 16, 2026 Duration: 8 weeks Weekly pay: $1,620–$1,659 per week Guaranteed hours: 36 per week Shift: Night shift, 12-hour shifts on a 3-night block Setting: Hospital-based emergency department with high patient volume; level 1 trauma center experience preferred Key Highlights - Weekly pay: $1,620–$1,659 per week - Guaranteed hours: 36 per week - Contract duration: 8 weeks - Shift: Night, 12-hour shifts on a 3-night block - Start date: August 16, 2026 - Work setting: Hospital emergency department in a large urban environment; level 1 trauma center experience preferred Responsibilities - Deliver direct emergency care to adult and pediatric patients, including rapid assessment, stabilization, and ongoing monitoring in a fast-paced ED. - Perform triage, initiate treatment plans, administer medications, establish IV access, and coordinate with the ED team for timely patient flow. - Monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret basic labs and imaging results, and respond to emergent situations with appropriate interventions. - Assist with procedures (eg, suturing, airway management, line placement) and support trauma resuscitation and coordination with physicians and ancillary staff. - Document accurately in the electronic medical record, communicate discharge instructions, and collaborate on admissions, transfers, and temporary dispositions. - Maintain patient safety, infection control, and high-quality standards for pediatric and adult populations while adhering to hospital policies and protocols.
