Overview Registered Nurse, Geriatric – Sonora, California Travel assignment starting 08/10/2026 for 13 weeks Weekly pay: $1,829 – $1,868 per week Guaranteed hours: 36 per week Shift: 5x8 evenings (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM) Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital Employment type: Travel – Temporary Assignment Employer: Healthforce Healthcare LLC Key Highlights - Weekly pay: $1,829 – $1,868 - Guaranteed hours: 36 per week - Contract duration: 13 weeks - Shift: 5x8 evenings - Start date: 08/10/2026 - Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital - Travel assignment with dedicated recruiter support Responsibilities - Provide comprehensive nursing care for geriatric patients per individualized plans of care; monitor, assess, and respond to clinical changes. - Coordinate orientation for new hires and mentor unit preceptors to support a positive learning environment. - Educate patients, families, and staff; facilitate patient advocacy, discuss care plans, and uphold patient rights and consent processes. - Develop and deliver clinical and classroom education using methods such as lectures, demonstrations, self-learning, and bedside teaching; maintain education records. - Maintain accurate documentation for education, competency records, and program tracking; support ongoing staff development and performance improvement. - Serve as a clinician and resource for nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams; help coordinate ongoing professional development and quality improvement activities.
